Michelle Gronum, Registered Clinical Psychologist

Michelle graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology College and holds full registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia-AHPRA. She is a Specialist Provider for Medicare.
Michelle has worked in various clinical settings, nationally and internationally, over the past 15 years and has a wealth of experience providing therapy for a diverse range of presenting problems, such as depression, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, panic disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, anxiety and work-related stress. She also had extensive exposure to trauma related problems and acted as a consultant for various psychological services in this regard. Michelle acted as senior manager in various roles within the public sector and owned and managed consulting firms in the private sector. Part of her experience included the management, training and supervision of psychologists and intern psychologists.
Her framework for case conceptualisation and intervention is influenced by a broad array of theory, research and evidence based therapies depending on the nature of the problem. In therapy Michelle employs her extensive training in systems, solution-focussed and post-modern therapies to empower people to make positive changes in their lives, to live a rich, meaningful and fulfilling life. Michelle provides a safe and validating environment to assess your situation thoroughly, help you identify your goals, and tailor therapy to suit your individual needs.
Katherine is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in the treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, stress and trauma in adolescents and adults. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is accredited with Medicare to provide specialist Clinical Psychology services. Katherine has extensive experience across a broad range of settings including hospital and community-based adult mental health, consultation-liaison psychiatry at the MATER children’s hospital and private practice. She has also worked with individuals affected by brain tumour and individuals experiencing problematic gambling behaviour. Katherine implements evidence-based treatment and ensures that she stays up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based approaches by engaging in regular professional development activities.
Gerhard joined MyMind Psychology on a full-time basis in 2016, after having had a part-time involvement with us since 2011. He is a qualified Clinical Psychologist and has extensive experience as a clinician in the private sector and the public mental health sectors. He has worked as a Psychologist in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia since 1993.
Gerhard works with adults and adolescents with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety and depression, and provides services from evidence-based therapeutic modalities (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). He has a professional interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and provides assessment services for both young persons and adults. Gerhard has an interest in group therapy, and provides group therapy services focussing on depression, anxiety and improving self-esteem. As a therapist trained in the systemic therapy approaches, Gerhard also provides couples and marriage counselling.
Gerhard accepts referrals for adults and adolescents. He is an empathic and supportive professional who acknowledges the difficult circumstances clients experience, and has a strong commitment to working closely with his clients to help them to improve their lives and functioning.
Joanne Yuen, Registered Psychologist
Joanne is a friendly, encouraging and non-judgmental registered psychologist with more than 15 years clinical experience.
During her career, Joanne has gained practical experience through her therapist role with a prominent Brisbane-based psychiatric hospital, her own private practice and also when she worked for the Primary Health Network (in metropolitan, regional and rural areas) helping adults find solutions to their issues. Some of these have included depression, anxiety disorders, (eg. panic attacks, health anxiety etc), PTSD, Acute Stress Disorder, relationship problems (eg. communication breakdown), low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, life transition challenges, work place stressors (eg. bullying) and career exploration etc.
Joanne enjoys working with adult clients and believes in taking a positive, empathic and supportive approach. She encourages clients to explore the impact of their life experiences on their current behaviors and decisions. She inspires them to make meaningful change to improve their quality of life to enable them to reach their full potential.
Joanne is dedicated to creating an individualised treatment plan for each client that assists in their learning new skills, as well as contributing to positive change and growth. She particularly embraces cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution focused therapy, utilising a variety of evidence-based approaches combined to form an integrative therapeutic approach. She is also passionate about neuroscience and the impact on clients' mental health.
Joanne regularly attends workshops to continually upgrade her clinical knowledge and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Cameron Chapman, Registered Psychologist

Cameron is a Registered Psychologist who has experience with a variety of age groups in clinical settings, child and adolescent mental health, and adult drug/alcohol rehabilitation. Cameron graduated with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, holds registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Cameron works with a range of mental health difficulties including anxiety and depression, and has an interest in providing treatment that is client-centred and derived from evidence based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Cameron provides a genuine and validating approach while working with you to assess your difficulties, help you identify your values and goals, and move in a direction that improves your functioning and experience of life.
Lauren Hutton, Registered Psychologist

Lauren is a Registered Psychologist who has experience with a variety of age groups in acute and clinical settings. She has a special interest in child and adolescent mental health and has many years of experience working in schools prior to becoming a psychologist. Lauren holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Lauren has experience working in various public mental health settings. She works with children, adolescents, and adults who are encountering a range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, social stress, relationship issues, adjustment, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, suicidality and self-harm, psychotic illnesses, emotional dysregulation, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar affective disorder. She takes an integrative flexible approach incorporating evidence-based psychological treatment modes to cater to your needs.

Aaron Ryan, Registered Psychologist

Aaron is a Registered Psychologist who has experience with psychological assessment and treatment for people experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal difficulties. He is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
Aaron has a warm, empathic and collaborative approach and prioritises the creation of a safe space to explore and work with you through your difficulties. In this way, Aaron can help facilitate growth that is meaningful to you.

Dr Bianca Levis, Clinical Neuropsychologist

Bianca is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Registered Psychologist who provides evidence-based psychological treatment to adults experiencing a range of concerns including stress and anxiety, mood problems (e.g., depression), psychosis, trouble managing emotions, social problems, and relationship difficulties.
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Bianca understands how brain structures and systems affect behaviour, emotions, and thinking. She offers psychological treatment to people who have conditions that affect the brain and the way the brain functions; these conditions include stroke, neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease and dementias), epilepsy, brain tumours, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injury.
Bianca has worked in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and, when not at MyMindPsychology, she works in a community-based public mental health. Bianca is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and Medicare.
